We offer a two-day course that will give the attendants an in-depth understanding of the entire waste and energy systems including environmental and regulatory aspects.

Content:

• Managing public opinion in the waste-to-energy sector – Experiences and considerations made in Linköping.
• Waste handling – A study tour to see how waste is handled from start to finish, including a visit to a waste collection centre.
• Environmental implications of waste management and recycling strategies
• How challenges regarding natural resources will influence future policies and economy
• Study tour to a thermal waste treatment plant in Linköping with an opportunity for discussion with representatives from the technical staff.
• Energy systems – Methods for systematic analysis of fuels, energy conversion and use
• Incineration vs. landfill – Environmental issues and legislation
