Tekniska Verken owns 100% of Usitall. Tekniska Verken is a multi-utility company in Linköping with experience and know-how from over 50 years of waste management, energy production and energy distribution. Tekniska Verken has approximately 1 000 employees, a turnover of €500 mln and it is fully owned by the municipality of Linköping. 

Tekniska Verken’s largest waste-to-energy plant, Gärstadverket (one of the most advanced in Sweden), has the capacity of over 400 000 tons of waste and produces 1 000 GWh of heat and power every year. The plant consists of four separate boilers. The last, (commissioned in 2005) almost doubled the total capacity of the plant.
